For students who choose to attend face-to-face workshops at Emeritus’s classroom, the following rules, regulations and code of conduct applies:
- Be properly attired and maintain an acceptable personal appearance in respect of fellow students and Emeritus staff and faculty while on Emeritus premises
- Respect the personal property of others and Emeritus
- Interact with Emeritus’s staff and faculty in a respectful manner
- Respect the rights, feelings, dignity, health, safety ethnic diversity of others
- Students are forbidden to engage in inappropriate activities such as but not limited to smoking within the premises, stealing, gambling, cheating, fighting, use of vulgar language, sexual harassment, etc.
- Students are prohibited from possessing illegal items in accordance with the laws of Singapore, e.g. weapons, firearms, and other articles deemed to be dangerous
- Students are expected to use with care Emeritus facilities, equipment and other resources. Students who are caught vandalising or intentionally causing damage to Emeritus properties will be required to pay the cost of repair or replacement.
- Students are to keep the classroom clean and to remove any litter before leaving the classroom at the end of each workshop sessions.
- Students are not allowed to eat or drink (except bottled plain water) in the classroom. Consumption of food is restricted to the pantry area.
- Students are advised to take care of their personal belongings. Emeritus will not be held liable for any loss of any personal belongings within Emeritus’s premises.
